With a slight hint of moral sanctimony and some feel good slogans, Revive prides itself as one of the few comprehensive vegetarian eateries in the city. The restaurant's premise is as simple as the decor: a luscious salad bar and a few hot options.

There are some appreciably creative inventions with dishes spanning several cultures. Mexican, Thai, Middle Eastern, American...Makes for quite the choice. Unfortunately Revive's creations fall into the pitfall that all pre prepared food does: the struggle to keep fresh. At a glance you can tell what the worst offenders would be, the couscous looked old, and was dry as you'd expect from food sitting for hours. Ditto for noodles. Some of the vegetable based salads faired better, though often under salted. Hot dishes were bland. This was not vegetarian heaven.

Revive ticks the 'healthy' and 'good value' boxes for meals. It's a big fat cross for 'tasty' though.
